Basic metal wound gaskets are available for grooved flanges and embossed flanges.
Metal wound gaskets are made of high-quality SUS304, SUS316 ("V" or "W" shaped) metal strips and other alloy materials and spirally wound with graphite, asbestos, PTFE, non-asbestos and other soft materials. The metal strip is fixed by spot welding at the beginning and the end.
The metal-wound gasket is the most resilient gasket in the semi-metal gasket. The structural density of the metal-wound gasket can be made according to different locking force requirements, and the inner and outer steel rings are used to control the maximum compression. The surface accuracy of the flange sealing surface in contact with the wound gasket is not high.
Metal-wound gaskets are especially suitable for applications where the load is uneven, the joint force is easy to relax, the temperature and pressure are periodically changed, and there is shock or vibration.
